Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. Jacqueline Fernandez's mother Kim and her father Elroy have both been Malaysian. Jacqueline has two older brothers as well as a younger sister. In the wake of turmoil in Sri Lanka, her family relocated to Bahrain in the early 1980s. She was given a scholarship to attend the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia after she had completed her studies in Bahrain. Her passion for the languages and culture inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she mastered French and Arabic in addition to learning Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was title in the month of March, 2006; she was also a part of Miss Universe 2006 In the wake of her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens she competed in badminton at National level competitions. She later resigned her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her native language is Konkani. Padukone is located within the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend before retiring in the late 1980s. Her mother, who worked for a travel agent, is also from this area.
